#buntespaderborn is a cultural project that encourages and needs the participation of the residents. Therefore we, as the initiators of the project, together with local artists, journalists and educators, created different workshops in which you can participate.

Workshop: Song: The Riemekeviertel is our home
We thought the Riemekeviertel needed a new song, so we asked the two local guys Adda Schade and Cut Spencer to compose and produce one. Once the basic elements are done, it’s up to you. We are searching for a text and also some instrumental solos and also some rap parts are still available. So, if you have any ideas for the text or want to participate as a musician or rapper, contact us. The only requirement is that you live in the Riemekeviertel.
Workshop: Hotspot – a theatre project
In an open theatre workshop, the actress Sarah Mevers will help you to create a scenic play around the topic “home”. Now your creativity is needed for this project. Message us your ideas, tell us your story about Paderborn and the Riemekeviertel at info@buntespaderborn.de.
Workshop: We are the Riemekeviertel – a photo project
Together with local photographers, Susanne Kirchner created a project that encourages the residents of the Riemekeviertel to perceive and get to know themselves and, with the help of experienced photographers, take pictures of each other. The pictures will be displayed in an exhibition. More information will follow.
Art project: Describable! Text your home!
The concept of home makes everyone think of a certain place, a feeling, a smell, and/or a memory. So home is describable. This thought made the local artist Manfred Webel and the awardee of the Kulturnadel, Karsten Strack, create an art project for the public space. The goal is to bring your thoughts referring to the concept of home out into public – as a first step on our homepage and as a second step for example as texts on benches, signs, billboards, or on cakes or in soups. You see some examples here.
This is why we are looking forward to getting your descriptions and texts about home via e-mail info@buntespaderborn.de. The upcoming questions can work as a guideline. You can hand in your text in any language, we will publish a choice of your texts on our homepage. An international jury will decide about the texts that will be perpetuated in the public space.
